Golf, anyone?

I have always wondered why golf enthusiasts enjoy the sport so much.  I guess it's probably because I do not know anyone who plays it -- except for the computer version of the game :) For golf enthusiasts who love not just playing the game but also watching it, you can try visiting Ticket America to see the latest golf events. pga tour tickets pga championship tickets us open golf tickets Disclaimer: This blog is a personal blog written and edited by the owner.  The owner of this blog is compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Paranoia

Aside from people going to the cemetery during  the All Saints' and All Souls' Day holidays, another news that became a headline, was that of a 20-year old fresh graduate from UST, who was stabbed to death 49 times bu tricycle drivers in her subdivision.  For others, it was just another headline, but for me it was different.  I never knew the girl personally.  But I live in the same subdivision. When I first read the news on Twitter, the night of October 31, there were no details yet on the incident.  But there was something in the news that made me feel scared and worried.  Until the morning of November 1, I kept on checking the news, but details were still not available...then came the evening news.   When we went home from the cemetery, I noticed that the GMA 7 News van was in our subdivision.  And right then and there, I have confirmed my suspicions that the girl was from the same area.  I waited for the evening news, and there, our subdivision was mentioned.  The d

Turning 3...

My baby is turning 3 tomorrow... I'm feeling a mixture of emotions right now.  I'm sad because she seems to be growing up too fast.  I'm afraid because of the bigger responsibility that is coming our way.  I'm worried of what the future will bring her.  But mostly I'm happy because she's growing up to be a fine, young kid. I have never really focused on teaching her practical things, but she seems to learn it by herself! She learned how to eat on her own when she turned 1.  She learned to potty train herself when she was just 2 years and a few months old and without me teaching her how.  When we talk to her, it's as if we are talking to a 5 year old kid because of all the things that come out of her mouth.  And to add to that, she no longer baby talks unlike some kids her age. She even knows how to console me when I'm sad.  She simply hugs and kisses me and says, "wag ka na sad, nandito naman ako", in a sweet and gentle voice.  Now, who w

Jenika's 1st Day in School

I was waiting for this day since we enrolled our little girl last May.  I even filed for a leave to ensure that I will accompany her on her 1st day.  We've decided to let her go to school this early since we want to take advantage of the fact that at this stage her mind still works like a sponge, absorbing lots of things quickly. A lot may roll their eyes and even comment why we are sending her this early to school.  For me, the answer is simple.  Education is something parents' should invest on.  And at this stage, toddlers still think that school is all about fun and play.  So, why not take that as an opportunity to immerse your child to learning? Anyway... The day started not so great for my little girl.  She woke up with a "sumpong", probably due to the fact that she have been crying her eyes out last night. I let her watch TV and play for a few minutes and told her to eat before taking a bath.  It's a good thing my mom cooked her favorite "

Chemical Peeling

Last Saturday I had a follow-up checkup with my new dermatologist, Dra. Evangeline Handog.  I'm having a really bad case of acne which started when I was pregnant with Kelly. Dra. Handog is the 2nd dermatologist i've consulted with.  The first one was not that effective and I didn't really like the way she handled my check-ups.  I spent a total of almost 7000Php for medications but have not seen any result. I've decided to consult with Dra. Handog and she immediately prescribed a different set of topical and oral medicines.  On my 2nd visit, she told me that she will treat my face with chemical peeling, which was quite scary considering it's my first time to do such. She asked me to wash my face with cetaphil and right after she started the treatment. boy, did that sting! i felt like my whole face was burning! after a few secs, she asked me to rinse and immediately apply ice compress to ease the burning sensation. I'm on the 3rd day and my face ha

School Season

Summer is almost over and school season is about to begin. I'm getting pretty excited because my baby Kelly will start her schooling this June! Yay!  Some might say that she's too young to go to school and I admit that she is!  The reason why I want her to start schooling this early is because I want to prepare her for big school.  I don't want her to get overwhelmed with school and kids.  I'm hoping that she'd enjoy going to school as much as I did! :) Can't wait to buy her first school shoes!

sick :(

i've been feeling sick for 3 days now.  haven't filed for a leave from work, not because my boss won't let me but because i just can't leave work just like that.  i've always been like that. that's why i envy and sometimes get irritated with people who can afford to take a leave from work even if they know that they are leaving behind tons of work.  i'm just like that. don't hate me. anyway, i just hope to feel better soon. and kelly too. :(

Thank you!

thanks to my hubby for my new netbook (Acer Aspire One 722) :) My Blue Acer Aspire One :)  Thanks hon!

Blank

My mind is blank.  It's just the start of the year and I already feel exhausted.  Maybe because I haven't had the chance to have a decent vacation last December.  Maybe because a lot of work came in and I didn't have the chance to feel the Christmas spirit. I need motivation.  I need a jumpstart.

Two - Zero - One - Two

Happy New Year! It's 2012...the year that the world would end, or so the Mayans say.  Do you believe that the world would end this year, December 21, 2012 to be exact?  I don't actually believe in that prophecy.  I have my faith intact and only God can decide when the world would end. But if it is true, how would you live your life knowing that come December 22, you will no longer see the light of day? Happy New Year! Let's all enjoy this year, shall we?
